Welcome

The purpose of this year’s conference is to provide a forum for policy-makers and academics to deliberate on how the security, resilience and sustainability of the globalized Arctic region and its peoples may be enhanced, and what instruments of governance may most suitably contribute. The conference will also focus on how the Nordic countries and nations, including Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Aaland Islands, may contribute to the peace, stability and prosperity of the Arctic region through collaborative efforts based on their shared social, human, environmental and democratic values.

As usual, we have a invited a number of excellent and internationally recognised speakers. The conference is open to the public, and especially the first day’s programme has been organised with a general audience in mind.

Please note that, due to our collaboration with the Nordic Festival of Folkeuniversitetet (The People’s University), the conference will be initiated by events on Wednesday November 11 and concluded with events over the weekend.
